Exam Care Packages for Alpha Nu

Each year the Tuscaloosa ZTA Alumnae Chapter stuffs care packages for the Alpha Nu chapter at the University of Alabama. This is one of our biggest fundraiser as well as a great way to help support our collegians at exam time!

Parents are able to choose from two different packages for their daughters, each filled with snacks and goodies. Alumnae deliver the packages to the ZTA house for the girls to pick up the week before exams.

This year we stuffed the care packages while we stuffed ourselves at our Thanksgiving potluck dinner. Each of us brought a yummy dish and we enjoyed food, fun and sisterhood! After eating we began to work on building the care packages, which turned out to be a lot of fun and a great opportunity to know each other.

We sold over 50 care packages this year and, as a result, were able to raise approximately $1700 in profit! This fundraiser was a total success and we look forward to the great things we are able to do with the profits.

Exam care package assembly for Nu Chapter collegians. We will meet to support our largest fundraiser, which was a huge success last year! Bring 5 cans of food or $1 donation in lieu of each can of food to support Beat Auburn Beat Hunger.

December 6
Bring an unwrapped toy to donate to Toys for Tots to a fun Dirty Santa party with your sisters! This will be your final chance to turn in Yoplait lids before the December 31^st deadline.

Spring 2012 Alumnae Ceremony

We welcomed a new group of Nu Chapter ZTAs to the alumnae world as summer begins, and the Tuscaloosa alumnae chapter celebrated them after the ceremony with a wonderful tea! We couldn't be happier with the wonderful chance to meet more sisters and welcome them to their alumnae status!

Three attend AL/MS Zeta Day

Three members of the Tuscaloosa alumnae chapter were able to attend the 2012 Zeta Day in Birmingham, Alabama on Feb. 25! They had a great time, and chapter vice president Lauren Arington spoke about the ZTA Foundation at the event.

The chapter sponsored a basket for the silent auction, and Zetas in attendance were surprised with the Chain of Chapters to view and take photos of!

We are proud our chapter was represented and hope to have an even bigger presence next year!

Chapter holds February lunch meeting

Ten alumnae chapter members gathered for a February lunch meeting at Indian Hills to discuss upcoming chapter plans and ways to assist Nu Chapter with scholarship programming. It was a fun and productive lunch and as always, sisters enjoyed spending time together!
